Game Audio Portfolio- Final Year

Individual University Project

Over the course of 10 weeks, my game audio module equipped me with both the practical and theoretical  skills needed to work in the specialist area of game audio. I applied the theory in lecturers directly to my weekly lab tasks, using Unreal Engine's powerful audio features, with these tasks forming a core part of my assessment.

Over the course of the module, I developed the following skills: Recording sounds using Tascam's, editing and layer audio together in Audacity, understanding and implementing  Audio effects (DSP) both offline and in real time, composing using Renoise, and creating procedural audio (e.g., wind) with Unreal's Metasounds system.

These eight weekly lab tasks helped me build a solid understanding of the game audio pipeline, supported by further research and analysis of audio in games. As a result, I received a First-Class grade.
